Whenever you want to get lost in art and you just so happen to be home in Stockholm, head out to Fotografiska. At the moment they are exhibiting the amazing collection “We have a dream” which features many heroes, famous as well as every day ones. One man featured is a man I admire immensely and whom I am proud to say that I’ve worked with through my job. Jason “Timbuktu” Diakité, an amazing Swedish artist in its true sense. Another person I’ve been honoured to work with is our former Minister, a woman who touched countless lives in her work. Anna Lindh. One artist and one politician, two humanitarians.
Fotografiska is also exhibiting a series of pictures by photographer Lennart Nilsson whom passed away not long ago. His iconic pictures of the journey of a fetus journey to birth is are amazing. The picture below is taken at 20 weeks. Fantastic.Up on the second floor they are hosting an exhibition from Charlotte Gyllenhammar who has convinced me that everything in life should either be black & white and upside down..Or upside down in colour. This film so touched my mood yesterday, or my life for that matter.I’m in love. 🖤
And when you’re done gawking at the amazing pieces in the different exhibition halls, do make sure you head all the way up the top in order to enjoy a lunch with a view. And what a view it is. And the food, well that ain’t too shabby either.. rustic & loveable. But this brief love affair has to come to an end as well. It’s time to head back to Beijing. I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me.
But I’ll see you soon Stockholm. Stay beautiful as always. ❤️
