Welcome to my life. Let’s start on a positive note shall we? One more day before going on a vacation. 🎉 That sentence there is what has kept me going for the last couple of weeks. This vacation is way overdue.. and much too short so I guess I have to make the most of it. And to be honest, I can’t wait for more cool weather and fully stocked food stores, for pick n’ mix candy, salty liquorice and miniature golf with mini-me who is already at home practicing. And for clean air and gorgeous nature.
Home. Sweden. That awkwardly large but sparsely populated country up north which makes most people cringe because they associate it with cold and darkness. Sure, six months of the year that might be true 🙄 but for the remaining six, it can be absolutely gorgeous. ❤️
But before vacation I have to say “see you later” to an amazing woman I love and adore. A woman whose integrity and beliefs have kept me sane during my two years in Beijing and whose laugh and love for bubbles I will miss dearly.
But it’s not a goodbye even though that’s what I wrote (made a good headline though) – it’s for sure a “see you later” Ms J. ❤️ Looking forward to many lunches, brunches and dinners in the future.
So now that we’ve cleared the vacation and goodbye part, let’s focus on the panic part shall we? As much as I’m looking forwards to vacation I’m also acutely aware of the fact that in about a months time I will be knee deep in one of the biggest projects of my life. A smaller army of fantastic men and women will together create a new amazing work space for the future. Expanding and renovating is on the agenda and I will be front row centre of it for the next couple of years. And let me assure you that it is as thrilling as it is scary… So I’m kind of looking forward to it while dreading it fiercely.
But that will be a chapter of its own. Right now let’s focus on the coming weeks – trust me when I say that that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Stay tuned.
Love from Beijing ❤️
